For those BAA members etc, Eastham bridge collapsed recently, hopefully it hasn't ruined the great pike and roach fishing there.

On local TV you can see the rubble, and has created as some as said a lovely flood water swim. 
But can't see how it can spoil the fishing, the driver of the school bus had a narrow escape, it started to collapse when he was a third of the way across, he managed to reverse in the nick of time.

There was an reference on the BBC to an eye-witness , Alan Sheldon, who was fishing 50 yards downstream and saw the whole thing. An out of season poacher?

He was on the local TV news, didn't look like a poacher also same chap, I think reported the incident on the BAA website, stated he was game fishing.
Just checked the BAA forum and it was a Allan S that posted regarding this, he states he was going to trout fish, so not a poacher.
