Drennan Reels

Used the smaller model for Tench fishing on the float, its ok for the money but the clutch aint great. Should have gone for a quality front drag reel.
 
IMO I think you would be better off sticking to the proven work horses...Shimano.
There's nothing worse than hooking in to a PB or good double, only to find your clutch or drag start sodding about. and also Shimano parts and servicing are readily available for most of the top end range
Okuma do a fairly good range if you want something a bit cheaper.
 
Seems that although the reels are not bad,they are not up to Drennans usual unique style and standards. All my specimen reels are front drag and Daiwa.Any shimano or Daiwa reel should do the trick
