deeper slower or shallower pacey,

hi all.
ive decided to have another look at the middle severn tomorrow afternoon/evening, but after having a bl**dy long walk along it today i'm not really sure as whether to go for the shallower more usual guarenteed fish in the summer pegs, or to go to the deeper steadier swim that will throw the odd descent fish in the winter.
whats confused me a little bit, is the amount of water its carried over the last month or two where will the fish be.
but haveing looked at it today, it looks bang on, ie. nice level,colour etc. that combined with the descent wheather over the last week,

what do ya reckon....!!!!!!!!!!!!! :confused::confused::confused:

I'd always be in a steadier swim at this time of the year and despite it being dry for the last week it's not been too warm. There was a frost last night and another clear night at the moment so however you tackle up give yourself a chance of a Chub as they may be your best bet.

ive decided on a small bait (maggots & maggot feeder or maybe single 8mm pellet & straight lead) attack, the forcast here is cloudy overnight maybe 2-3 degrees, sunny spell tomorrow.

Agreed Lee, The deeper the better at the moment I think.
