Decided thanks where to buy?

So I'm going for the Torrix 1.75lb 11'.

Does anyone know where I can buy one, or do I have to have one built?

Fosters want 6 weeks £239. Too long, I cannot wait?

Thanks to all for the helpful advice, hope you don't think I've waisted anyones time?

Richard.

Try contacting Harrison's direct perhaps? they do sell rods direct. Their factory builds are always excellent quality - I think the Kigan 3d SIC rings they supply are very good value.

Chas burns - burns built rods 07719788036 . Top class rod maker and at a fair price, he builds exclusively on Harrison blanks . He has a website just google burns built rods . Mention my name

The rod you want isn't listed as far as my first glance could see, but Dave http://www.dlst.co.uk/rods.html
is a very well respected rod builder and he only builds on Harrison blanks so he'll be able to get what you want.
If you've settled on this sort of spec, you"ll normally always have a waiting period!

I use a Mark Tunley one - beautiful rod for rolling meat. Doesn't feel as beefy as the 1.75lb tc would suggest until you're hooked into a good fish (or a big snag in my case)

I think you'll have to wait a minimum of 6 weeks, wherever you go. Fosters buy Harrison standard builds and if quoting 6 weeks, they are unlikely to have them in stock?

Another vote for Mark Tunley too.

Try Bob gill on here, sometimes he has extra rods in stock, ring Harrison and ask them for phone numbers of all dealers/people who they supply blanks to,you might get lucky.Great choice of rod too,i have a Mark tunley,11ft/1.75lb Kigan 3d sic ring one, best of all the Torrix version rods.

I just happen to have a custom almost new 11' 1.75 Torrix which I'll let go.....further details PM me if still looking

Cheers
Bob

Graham.

Its amazing but your right, I'm thinking the rod I need is a 1.75 or even 2lb. As long as i can feel perch, bream and big chub I'll pick up along the way, I'll be happy. But the beat I'm fishing has some very big barbel, over 17lb for sure.

Thanks all again.
