Decent roving umbrella recommendations please?

I'm doing a hell of a lot of walking & roving at the moment, and desperately would like a wide tilting fishing umbrella please.

Do not want to be using something that's going to discourage me from packing it up when I'm needing to move, like a shelter etc.

Any recommendations out there please?

Hi Julian, I’ve bought a cheap ngt 45” Brolly it’s not the best quality water dose drip through it a little bit but at £20 it serves a purpose especially as it’s lightweight and hasn’t blown inside out during a severe rain storm ⛈ I’ve also got a drennan 45” that’s good but by the time you add storm poles it’s starting to get on the heavy side maybe? Mate 👍🏻

Cheers Jim! 😊

As much as i dont like Korum, the ‘river brolly’ has been great! Really light, short back for sloping banks and so far (after 2 years) hasn’t leaked.
There is a market for a smaller, perhaps 39” brolly in my mind but this fits the bill for now.
I got one when they first came out and didn’t like it initially…but continued to use it and now think it’s great. Quality item that’s never leaked, small and light to carry compare to other shelters and provides superb cover on sloping banks or tight little swims

Another vote for the Korum super lite river brolly. I hate carrying a brolly but this one doesn't feel like a hindrance at all. I use it with side rather than center poles to increase coverage. I almost want to buy another before they get discontinued.

Is this the updated version lads
Korum progress graphite 50" brolly?

I've sent a couple of local enquiries for your recommended korum river super lite's, as I haven't seen them available... Will look further afield too. 👍

Agreed Trevor,… I thought the name ‘super lite’ was stretching it a bit! Super lite compared with a blacksmith’s anvil perhaps?
I’ve used the River brolly for a while,.. it just about fits into my old Korum 2 rod quiver which is a plus as I really hate the 5 rod version which just gathers dust. At 5.3 lbs it’s heavier than I’d hoped tbh,…. also Ive realised how many flat river swims I fish compared with sloping so my legs are always getting rained on,.. especially when the rain puddles on the top.
Mine didn’t come with storm pole attachments but Korum sent me a pair FOC.
Being retired I can pick my days to fish so if it’s a washout I just go when it’s drier,… I’ve got shelters etc, all I really needed was a lighter 45” brolly to keep the odd shower off, so the river brolly was too specialised,… I’ll never learn.🙄

Seems the Korum river Yeah I've started to look at Quest tenacious 55", & the Trakjer 60", & Drennan 50" specialist umbrella (more shelter type) but expensive at £109 from what my brief preliminary searches have thrown up.

I'll do some more research later tonight.

It seems the Korum super lite has discontinued, superceeded by the Korum progress version. Not sure what the differences are?

It's like bloody I-phones & Samsung phones, bring a new version out every two weeks! 🤣🤣
