Dead maggot, what should I do?

Quick odd question, can you leave defrosted dead maggot in the water for a day? I went for a short session this afternoon with some dead maggot, but my freezer is full when I back home, I will go out again on Sunday, but what should I do with those maggot? Thanks.

They will go rancid very quick….personally I would feed them to the birds in the garden.
