Day Ticket this weekend within an hour South of Chester....

Morning All
Got the chance of 3 days away this weekend at Bolesworth (south of Chester) and wondered if anyone has any recommendations for a decent day ticket stretch within an hour that is scenic and with a chance of getting on. I assume the Severn would be my best bet but open to any ideas .......bit of a last minute job as i was going to my carp syndicate but got a feeling they might start spawning so might join the missus up at the showjumping at Bolesworth. Would be fishing Sat, Sun and Mon from ~8a.m - 5pm

There is Emstrey which is £8 on line. Nice stretch about 11/2 mile of bank just outside of Atcham. Good, safe carpark and a variety of swims to go at? (Theres a few videos on YouTube).

There is also Hampton Springs (about 10 mins from Bolesworth) if you want your carp fix? It’s a commercial complex with a specimen lake. Well run, good shop & café if that floats your boat or its too hot for the river
