Day / night ticket waters . . .

Can anyone suggest a decent barbel fishery where day ticket anglers can bivvy up? I'm looking to do a few trips in the autumn, and as I'm based in South Essex, any decent barbel fishing is a long drive! it makes sense to me to do a couple of days once I'm there. Is A1 pits any good? it's pretty much the only one that comes up when I google !

TIA

A1 pits is decent but gets very busy, everywhere starts to quieten down come autumn though. There’s also Bob’s Island in Newark. Price has gone up a bit there, it’s now £25 for 24hrs (£12.50 7am-pm / 7pm-7am) but there is an excellent mixed bag of fishing. Big Barbel, Chub, Pike, Perch, Roach. Can park behind all pegs. Does get a bit of a rep because there’s a traveller camp across the river but I never had any issues at all in the times I’ve fished it, including being the only one there at times in winter. There’s locked gate access and you ring the number on the gate for the code, then the bailiff comes round later on.

You also have foxcovert fishery where you can book pegs and park behind them although this is the tidal
Perhaps you might consider joining a club Notts Feds has some decent waters although a bit of a walk to pegs but they are decent stretches for about £60 a year
