Daiwa Rod delight.

Managed to get hold of a pair of Rods the same as that I first used over 35 years ago.
A then favourite of many Barbel anglers that hadn't ever believed that the massive tc Rods used today would ever exist for Barbel fishing.

These 1.5 Rods were superb, however they came with a quivertip that had a metal wire loop abovd and near the top eye for a starlight. It was a bloody nuisance and most like me, snipped it off.

These will be my perfect Avon topped Rods for any River Severn Chub or Roach sessions. They will also be perfect for long range work on Reservoirs chasing silvers.
They are in pristine condition

So happy to get these.

Hard to believe now but a 1 1/2lb tc rod was described by Graham Phillips Rods back in those days as a 'stepped up' Barbel rod!

Love mine too. Used it trotting for big chub, tench and carp on the pin. Never had a big barbel on it but I imagine it would be best fun and very bendy!

I have a pair of the 11' 9" 1.25lb and they're brilliant rods. Had double figure carp off the top with them and barbel to 9lb.

I’ve a pair from new…. The same number on my rod but only plain quiver tips, I actually lost one and replaced it although the newer one is slightly lighter…. Can these still be obtained?
I might send them back and complain…. Lol
