Any one use this Daiwa j-braid and if so what’s it like compared to the tried and tested power pro braid

I prefer it, I use it on almost all my reels and I have just got 100 yards left to go on my Barbel Buster when it arrives on Tuesday.

I use Daiwa J-Braid Grand x8 in 28lb, has a very round line diameter of 0.18mm. I buy it in 300 yard spools and count off 325 turns on my cheapo centrepin (11" drum circumference) to give me approx 100yards. I then run this back off onto whatever reel I want it on.

Its great, tbh, if you used 30lbpp, use 40lb j braid. Its still thinner. You can but 300yd spools for 12 quid off Aliexpress.

Its really good tbh, most items come in a month, however with lock down, it took a little bit longer. I have been on it years now, its a little bit like amazon but missing out the middleman.

How much do you need. Im sure i have some power pro in 13kg somewhere.

Ive got both on my pike rods, i personally prefer the pp over the X8.
