This is a picture of a hardy marksman for sale.
Some of the finest carbon fibre rods ever imo.

All 3 quiver tips have been sprayed white....... including the rings😳🤦‍♂️
no masking or care whatsoever........asking top dollar for it yet the rod is completely ruined. Devastating to say the least.

Yes. Totally agree Richard. Saw that and thought I wonder if I could strip those tips and make at least £100 extra.

The tips cost about £20 + each to buy

I wouldn’t give him anything like 260 for it. That’s boardering on clean condition money for it.
You’d lose your hundred quid so fast in rings and man hours it just wouldn’t generate a return I don’t think. At that price you’d probably lose money. In the current condition it’s in for me to be remotely interested it would need to be another 100 light.

And hook pulls. It’ll have the action of a plumbers pipe 😂
Its what all the kids want these days Richard - a 6ft broomhandle with the action of a scaffold pole and plenty of jap shrink neoprene to cover the imperfections in the blank . . .if marketed correctly it will become very 'barbelly' and an essential piece of river stalking kit. . . . .(que my inner Des / old fart coming out!)

I’ll take your word for it and stick with me torrixs. There’s not much that swims in the river that they can’t bully if needed 😉

What are the Torrix like for barbel Rich? They wouldn't be my preferred carp rod of choice (prefer more parabolic eg. Acurix) but have been looking at a poss 'decent' set of barbel rods for next season . . .need to 'bend' but have a backbone for 4-5oz+ feeders as well as decent fish playing ability. Don't want 2.75 beasts . . .want an allrounder (can't be arsed to carry small water and floods) so 2lb tc is usually the best of both for me . . .Hi-S are are silly money - are Torrix the way forward?

For me the Torrix 1.75 11' is a superb rod that has landed me big barbel to over 15lb. It suits about 90% of what and where I fish. It really is a smaller river tool, but is light and you can fish in tight spots with if being just 11 foot. It's like a stepped up Avon, but you never feel undergunned if you hook into a lump. The 11foot is also a great trundling meat rod.
You might be tempted by the 12 foot version, but apparently a different beast, all together.
For value check out Bob the rod who built rods for Fosters, which is now Angling Direct I believe.?.
Great value for a no nonsense build.

My comment refered to if you could remove without damage. Depends what he used really.

Chris, look at the 2lb TC BFW I-power, brilliant barbel rods with great through action, bends a lot more than the Torrix.
Can they handle larger feeders . .? Had some consistent success on maggots this year (big 4 & 5oz blockends) on the WA and also like to fish the flow / upstream when appropriate with double pva bags (one on the lead / one on the hook). Arguably a stiff 1.75 is enough for an underarm flop but prefer 12ft and would rather fish overgunned (carp angler in me) than undergunned if that makes sense . . .

Soz off topic please pm me - apols
