Cressage

I recently got back out barbel fishing after 15 years plus away due to getting hooked on carp fishing .
I have had a few trips over the last 2 months and really like a couple of stretches around cressage and Sheinton where i have have had a couple of fish . Can anyone tell me if the barbel are in good numbers around this area and also do they go to specimen size .

Yes good numbers, desperately needs a flush through and I’ve personally had some very good Barbel by middle Severn weight standards

Judging by the lengths you mention, I’m assuming you are a PAAS member? If you go on the club forum, there’s a good annual Severn thread.

Thanks for the reply . And yes paa member . I fished near cressage bridge for the 1st time a couple of weeks back i did catch . Like so at sheinton and another stretch . Will be deffinatley giving it another go . Interested to see if i can get any decent fish from the above stretches .
