Couriers - Rod Carriage

Richard Parsons

Senior Member
Hi All - I'm thinking of selling a couple of rods and just wondering which courier to use and what kind of costs to expect? Any insight/advice gratefully received. Thanks....

Interparcel for me they seem to use UPS in my area and are the only courier that have not let me down so far. Also seem to get a speedy delivery service for around £15 for a 6ft tube.
Regards Clive

TNT for me - around £15. That includes pickup as well.
Some people have got away with using Royal Mail (who have 5' maximum in most cases) but that's taking to PO.
Cheers
Bob

last time i sent a rod , i used http://www.wedelivertheworld.co.uk/quote/company_profile.php

cost was £12.50 i think , its actually a division of some kind to DHL

i would use them again ,

for packaging , i just went to a carpet store and got the inner tube from a carpet roll , tape up one end , stuff with newspaper , insert rod , more paper , more tape , job done ;)

Used this lot too Stuart on numerous occasions and never a problem. Just enter the length of tube at the maximum length allowed ( 150 cm if my memory serves me correctly ), they don't get anal if it's a bit over.

interparcel every time lads never let me down
