Close season...

So,

Its finally upon us again, some people dread it, some like it...

Are you stopping fishing all together, maybe to concentrate on family, targetting lakes/canals etc...?

Personally I'm looking forward to the trout season and maybe getting out on a few lakes for a bit of carp stalking when it gets a bit warmer.

What will you be up to?

Cheers
Adam

Fluff chucking after an absence of several years and float fishing the margins of a local pit for tench and carp. Looking forward to catching some fish at last!

A bit of maggot drowning on commercial ponds, a bit of day session carping and maybe the odd trip to chase trout on a small tributary of the upper Tees.

Going to leave it until it warms up a little more for the lakes and res's. On the closed season i dont agree with it at all, it should either be later or a self imposed lay off by the controlling club, during the spring/summer. But thats another thread....

Nothing till late April then onto a couple of nice quiet carp lakes to float fish... generally taking it easy though.

some fly fishing on a lake till the river trout season opens on the 24th then will be out with the flies after the trout on the Ure / Swale & Tees.
