Cleaning up a old centrepin.

Hello just wondering about cleaning up an old centrepin I have acquired. I would like to give it a real good clean (its quite dirty with a greasy build up). But do not want to use anything that might remove paint. Is there any favored methods out there or do I just chuck it in the dish washer:).

i use parrafin and an old tooth brush,it will break down the oil/grease and will not damage the paint finish.polish up with a dry soft cloth or a little bees wax.

Clean off in warm water, Fairy Liquid using a 1" paint brush in the washing up bowl. Dry off in a soft cloth with a light smear of 3in1 type oil on the pin.

Don't forget to put the wife's pinny back behind the kitchen door.
