I bought a pair of 12ft rods on here. Excellent condition. And purchased mainly for long cast tench fishing.
I thought I would give my early, first impressions. I know many on here love them.
A few carp to 18lb have certainly underpinned the advice given here that they are through action.
My 1.75 and 2lb Torrix have managed carp to 38lb with a number of 35ish in the past.
The key being that 2/3 down that blank they come in very firmly and you can keep the fishes head up to the net.
I do think the " softness" of the 2 25 Chimera will give me a problem with any reasonable, bi product carp that most lakes seem to have. It was taking me a few attempts every time to net fish as the blank allows them to turn and dive every time. Floppy would probably be unfair.
I'll find out what they are like ( hopefully with tench, in the next two months. I think they will be perfect
This is just initial thoughts and concerns.
