Centrepin repair

It's not impossible to knock up a line guard for an Avon r/s from 2.5mm dia stainless steel rod John. The rod may require a bit of heat to achieve the tight bends though. The originals are chromed but for practical use st/ stl is as good if not better.
I was tempted to offer you my line guard as I don't use it and just keep it screwed on the alternative l/h screw mounts so not to lose it as it adds value to the reel.

Thanks for the kind thought Dave but I'll get it fixed. Fished ok without guard the other day and still managed to blank!
