Centrepin reel anyone.....

Thanks Ian for posting up your honest opinions about these beautiful centerpins. I like to hear your opinions on these things as your a man that has much experience in this field and thankfully you will sing the praises of a quality product. Which these days is a hard thing to find. After checking Chris's website out I see these are definitely not cheap and something more of an investment which I will look into in the future as I get more used to using a centerpin as im still a newbie.

At the end of the day you deffo don't have to spend so much money on a centrepin reel to go fishing and enjoy yourself. There are many cheaper options to use which are perfectly fine, a couple of examples being the okuma aventa pro, or the okuma sheffield which imo are excellent reels.
 
Cheers for the advice Ian, don't worry I'm not about to spend all my money on a Chris Lythe reel just yet. I'm going to make do with my Marco Cortesi for awhile, a bargain reel i picked up for £10. I need to get better at Wallis casting first. Time will tell if centerpins suit my style of fishing although i am enjoying using one. But it is good to see what others recommend kit wise.
 
Great collection of pins Ian I fish with pin mostly love it ..as for chris lyth reel there something else .keep the videos coming there great 👍
