catapult ?

anyone recommend a good catapult for 8-20mm pellets ?

loads of cattys out there but haven't had the need to use one for years so no idea which one to buy!

Sound advice Ade! Marty - if you just want to sprinkle a few pellets into your swim the Drennan Deli Catys are very good for accuracy.

I know it sounded a bit facetious but a catty is a catty, I've got half a dozen I've picked up over the years and they all work. My weapon of choice at the moment is an esp one I like because it has an orange handle and is easy to find.

That's a bit like saying a rod is a rod though isn't it?! If i want to feed lots of hemp at range i'll use an ESP Particle Pult - if i want to place individual pellets into a narrow run at short range i'll use a Deli Caty or a Pole Pult. Try doing it the other way around and they're next to useless.

And unlike todays cattys the rubber diddent snap every fortnight, but when
it caught your thumb,on release,it bloody hurt:mad:

Yeah. But the Milbros only had 2" between the gape so you were bound to get twatted. These new ones have more spread than a Harley handlebars.

You soon learned to be accurate though, I went to school with a gypsy lad who could take the knadgers off a knat with one of them.

The Milbro was designed to be released differently to a standard catapult, the missile not going through the arms, but just over the top of the arms. I went to one of the Milbro training days which were generally held in a local school during the summer holidays. The idea was that the hand holding the "caty" would pull down on release.

Whatever happened to the Black Widow catapult?

I'm aware of the Milbro Lob, but your thumbs still got twatted when the laggy broke.

Catapult Training Days at school - can you imagine that today?
