Brown/Gravel Coloured Braid??

Simon have you been using that fox barbel braid long as i have heard a few reports that it is rather unreliable, any thoughts on this?
 
If at any time over the years (which hasn't been that often) I have felt that the piece of over-priced string I am using as a hook-length has been affecting the bite-rate, I haven't changed the brand of said over-priced string but merely taken an olive-green, yellow, brown, black etc Pantone pen to it. Saved me money, caught me fish, with no signboards held up Excalibur-like by insulted barbel, either...
