Brolly suggestions..

Hi, after looking around the "net, I have come to the conclusion that the type of brolly I am looking for doesnt exist, so any suggestions.

It needs to be fairly large, very robust, and be a true brolly, not something with ribs that need threading through tabs and bending.
It also needs to have large brolly wings that can be weighed down with sand /pebbles/shingle etc, and not necessarily staked with pegs.

Not bothered about a ground sheet.
Not bothered about a removeble centre pole.
Maybe storm poles would be good.

The brolly will Be used for barbel fishing and on the beach, hence the need for it to have wings that are a bit over large.

Does such a thing exist.... the brolly wings are a must.!

Have a look at the wychwood mhr brolly.. . This has some large wings.

Yep thumbs for fox specialist brolly in high winds first class. Also like new korum super steel brolly as well

I got a fox specialist for Xmas last year and haven't used it yet except to put it up in the garage to see what it was like. When you open and close it it doesn't seem to have the conventional button to lock it/open it and to close it I just pulled the collar down - is that how it's meant to work ?

Storm poles can be attached to any brolly with metal ribs with storm caps.

Thanks for the suggestions chaps... I know about storm poles Clive, I just wanted some that were" built in" as opposed to after market like the ones I have at the moment .

I really need to get out and look at some , as with most things, buying blind , or on suggestion can be a frustrating business, at least I now have some brands/types to look out for . I dont want anything too big, I have looked at some and they are more like Carp bivvies than brollies.
