Brolly reviews

Korum super lite river brolly is really good
I do use with storm poles for longer sessions which makes it ‘ not so’ super lite but does offer a very good shelter

I’m in the same position and also looking for one.

Narrowed it down to Korum Super Lite River or the Drennan Specialist Umbrella.

Both have the following:
Removable centre pole
Pegging points
Bank stick threads

I’ve got both & use both at different times. The Drennan is (obviously) bigger (& slightly better quality)if you can get away with it but the River brolly is also good for when the banks are steeply sloped, space is tight and you’ve got to carry long distance, although i’ve also added storm pole attachments for stability (take out the centre pole completely) so the weight advantage isn’t completely lost. Find myself using the Korum most of the time and am happy with it, never let water through even though it looks like Stevie Wonder sewed the seams up 😎🤣

I can only comment on the Drennan SS Brolly. It’s lighter than the brolly it replaced and is very well made. Had it over 12 months and I’m very happy with it.

My only slight niggle is the brolly spike is somewhere between a conventional spike and screw spike, it’s also not a particularly sharp point. Fine in soft ground, but you struggle pushing/screwing it in to dried out firm ground, when using as a conventional brolly.
