Fox specialist brolly 45 inch, had about 2 years, little use £65.
This years Drennan specialist Brolly 45 inch, used twice £70.
Rather be collected or post at cost.
No need to put pics up as we know what a brolly looks like....

what are you getting instead Jon ? For me a brolly is the hardest bit of kit to get right, especially for roving/travelling light ?

i've got the 60in Mk1 MHR - great kit, but a little heavy and too big for most occasions, wish i'd got the smaller one

Just having a clear out Ciff tbh. The one I'm keeping is the Wychwood mhr compact. Had it the longest and I can just fit a bed chair under at a push.
Is that the Trakker levelite els bedchair Jon? As I know you have one also.

The rules of a club I'm in have a bizarre rule which states you can't use a 'bivvy' overnight, only a brolly?! So I can't use my pioneer and my korum pentalite is too small to fit any sort of bedchair.

Like the look of the MHR. Even more if it takes the levelite.

One of the clubs I was in regarding night fishing rules wouldn’t even allow open fronted bivvys, they had to be an umbrella which is why I ended up with an mhr.

Just bought the new Korum Supalite River brolly Cliff - haven't bank tested it yet but its certainly very compact and the rear spars are a LOT shorter than both the Fox 45 and Drennan 44 (have both of these as well!) Its also flat back so more protection than the Drennan - threads are a bit 'rough' so may need lubrication - build quality also not as good as either Fox or Drennan but def lighter

thanks Chris, I haven't seen one yet but its on my radar, be interested to see what you think after use ? Ive also considered the Korum 50" graphite as recommend by Mr Isaacs but again my local AD don't have one in stock. Ive also considered a golf brolly and asking Mr Isaacs to conjure up a way of fixing one to a bank stick, would do the job perfectly for me :)

Ime sure Issacs innovations will give you the best advice to sort it.

Korum Graphite is not much lighter than the Supersteel version - its also big(ish). New Supalite is waay lighter and ideal for days / quick erection . . . it also has a sensibly sized centre pole (unlike the Drennan 44) which can be fixed upright in the stem to create more space etc

If you want to use a golf brolly then you can already attach it to a bankstick with one of these -

I bought one a couple of seasons ago thinking I'd save weight (used with a golf sized brolly - camo pattern of course!) but its actually more faff in reality - you can have it for free if you want to cover the post!

thanks Chris, I play golf so Ive got one of those for my golf trolley, I'm thinking of something more slimline like cutting the handle off, I even thought it might be possible to find one where the centre shaft is narrow enough to fit straight in to the female section of a bank stick, I need to research it more.

Prob I found with golf brollys is the spar/boss height (in terms of realistic headroom) and the fact that rain is usually accompanied by wind at this time of year which makes a single spike a little unstable most of the time - suppose you could fit storm pole adaptors to it!

Soz John ruining your ad - got carried away with my new obession! At least its getting bumped to the top . . . sincere apols
