Highlights the number of discharge pipes/ outlets that the Water Companies do not have the required permit for.
For example Welsh Water have 184 ones that do not have a permit and probably EA are not aware of.

Yes , I saw that Graham . The most shocking revelation to me was how the EA ,'' trust'' the water companies [ the sewage dischargers ] to take the water samples from sewage outflows . To me that gives them ,the polluters a golden opportunity to massage or falsify the readings . This ridiculous situation has apparently come about because the EA doesn't have the resources to take all the samples themselves .Also the EA , again because of lack of resources only respond to the '' most serious '' pollution incidents and ignore others . Crazy !
