Is the Bradford No:1 book worth the £64 first time membership fee?

Are there plentiful Barbel waters or are they few & far between?

I am sure many would say yes it has some good barbel fishing and what's £60 quid these days , a good night on the ale ?

Guess it depends on what you're comparing it with and how often you'll be visiting. There are certainly plentiful barbel waters but perhaps the barbel numbers are not as plentiful as they once were.

I bought it mainly for their stretches of the Nidd and Swale. Of the five clubs I'm presently in it is the middle price wise so I'm happy to continue providing that I get on the waters often enough to justify it.

To be honest I've only been once so far this year having been somewhat pre-occupied with two other clubs' waters but used it a lot more last season. No doubt I'll be on Bradford no.1 waters more often later in the year.

I might just wait until October when it becomes half price & the rivers have had a rinse through.

Not that I'n a tight wad but living in Yorkshire for fourteen years you learn some habits/traits ;-)
