Bow in line when fishing?

I'm talking about the Trent now.

For most of my small water fishing on rivers I let a small bow of line form when fishing a feeder or ledger weight.

Do you still do this when fishing faster rivers like the Trent, Wye, Severn?d

If so how much, and do you fish for a slack line bite?

All depends on the flow,there's a balance between weight/feeder and pressure of water against the line,if you ledger upstream then less weight is needed to hold bottom.In terms of indication you generally get a nodding on the rod tip as the feeder bounces on the bottom,fish are self hooked when them move the feeder.
