due to my locality 10 miles from the tidal trent at collingham or dunham i have been on the look out for a really good tripod, for the swims on the rocks where a storm rod cant go. getting back into my sea fishing and tournament casting this year. check out the tfg tripod designed by ace sea angler alan yates. if you want one for nights the shakespeare saltist comes with buzzer bars already fitted for taking your bite alarms. the tfg one for days is the one i've gone for . it extends to 8 feet and is awesome. just look on the sea section of tfg website, terry
