Best cost saving ideas.......

Having had a good read of the "Flask" thread for the last 3 hours I saw the mention of meal boxes.

My internal tackle boxes consist of the plastic sandwich/meal packs in various sizes for differing bits.

Best ones have 4 robust clips side and ends, stops anything falling out and all over the place.:(

See- through so you can check you have the right one.

Prices around £2.00 to £3.50 from bargain shops.:)

No more cracked lids, broken hinges, sliding closure bits that don't and no special NAME on the lid adding 5 x price! :( Any other cost savings that you make.

Don't visit tackle shops!

I do well to leave without spending £100.

So I just can't go to them anymore. Same with record shops. And sweets shops.

I love a good old school tackle shop brown paper bag though.

Join a syndicate that's two miles from home and give up all other tickets. It's worked an absolute treat for me, saved a bloody fortune!;):D

Graham, I keep my camera (well wrapped in a soft flannel type cloth first) in one of those locking plastic food tubs you mention. I found one that fits like a glove, so that the wrapped camera can't move once slid into the tub. Totally water proof, tough as old boots, pretty well shock proof and cheap as chips. Best camera container I have ever come across.

Another cost saving method I employ is not visiting the barbers too often (as you may have noticed this morning)....saves me a fortune :p:D:p

Cheers, Dave.
