Heard some good news, that Dave Mason turned up at The Barbel Soc show and got a big cheer. Great to see Dave getting better after his stroke.

That's great news Ray, so good to hear that Dave has fought his way back from such a devastating event. I didn't know the man, but he was obviously a well loved character and I wish him all the very best.

Was a good day, trade room was buzzing and the speakers had a packed room, highlight of the day, for me anyway was Dave mason on Stage with his good mates collecting his gift from all the bs members, certainley bought a lump to your throat.
John Wilsons talk was good it was about his mahseer fishing in india, met him in the bar the previous evening, a really nice and friendly bloke, had time for everyone in the bar and his stand was full all day in the trade room.

Attended the show and was a great day out. Good tackle/bait stands. Really enjoyed Phil Smith's and John Wilson's talks, amazing how much these guys have crammed into their lives. Certainly an inspiration to us all! :)
