Hi Steve, after watching Bob Roberts's Barbel Days and ways, Mick Wood Said the Wharfe was up there as one of the best barbel rivers in the country. The Dons quite good as well.

Now, I've got in trouble before for suggesting we need to state the bleeding obvious, so I wont!!

Isn't that kind of the same thing though Fred? Making a post about not suggesting that we need to state the obvious sort of highlights the fact that we do! ;) Naughty Fred! :D

You can tell iam new to this river fishing  What a plonker.

Ah but Andrew, it may be the same thing, but from experience, the reactions depend on who's stating the bleeding obvious :p

Ah, i see! :D

To be fair to Ste - tis a common mistake to make, far too common these days!

Am i getting old? I remember the days when my rod licence had the regional bylaws printed within it's folds - any suggestions on your current licence that you can't fish rivers during the close season - What close season????

At least the controlling clubs have the information within their rules - but seriously - we might read them - but how many others don't? You pay your money and go fishing - simples!

No excuses even went on line last nite and checked,to eager i thinks for my first trip,i thought the river was quite.
