Barbel on the river dee

Gents, i was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice, im looking to join a club that has stretches of the river dee that have a good head of barbel, ive been told that warrington aa have some decent stretches was just wondering if anyone could add anymore to that just to keep my options open. Any help will be much apriciated.

Dee Anglers Association have a few stretches, the areas around Farndon/Holt do produce barbel to double figures but is certainly not prolific.

Annual tickets are £20, day tickets were £3 from the website but that option appears to have disappeared. I once bought my annual card from Tackle Locker in Chester so day tickets may be available there.

The banks around Holt are heavily bailiffed.
