Baitcaster recommendations?

For heavy lure fishing an ABU 6500C multiplier would give you the security of having more than you are likely to need. I use one on an Ugly Stick bass rod for piking or catfishing with larger lures. The smaller baitcasters like the Curado or Tatula are OK for perch, black bass and zander, but I wouldn't want to use one for piking on a regular basis.
 
Abu REVO BEAST ! Will cast anything ,expensive ,but well worth it if you do a lot of lure fishing.
