Bait pouch

I use the ESP stalker pouch, have also bought a Drennan EVA one for mashed bread but not used i do rate the ESP one and if it gets too grubby/mouldy it can go in the wash
I have two of the ESP ones and whilst they are very lightweight and simple in design, because they are designed to be closed by way of velcro the opening is quite small. It's kind of a bit of a compromise but one that isn't too much to get over.

I've got an older (not sure if its still available) Korda Compac boilie caddy that's basically mesh (ideal for maggots) but also has a profiled EVA insert ideal for particles / bread mash / sloppier stuff . . .saying that I still prefer my ye olde shakespeare bait apron when trotting mid river as its less likely to slip off / can be 'worn high' in deeper water and also carries other bits (leads/forceps etc)

Halkon Hunt do a posh one with a waterproof top pocket for wet baits etc . . .just done a quick search - Cadence also do a nice one that I'm tempted by (extra Xmas pressie to myself)

I use the new Drennan EVA one for trotting and I like it. Holds its shape unlike the old ESP Stalker pouch I had and it’s a good size. Nice and easy to wipe clean too

Whilst I still have bait aprons, they rarely get used. I also have a Fox EVA job that's barely seen water. As I spend most of my time on the river wading, I prefer neck pouches. I'm still making my favourite Lone Angler pouch last, but I do have one spare and a couple of alternatives.

I use the ESP pouches and don't find the velcro too much of a problem though it is not perfect.
I also have the Drennan pouch but although the idea is good I find that due to iit's rigidity it is very uncomfortable getting in the way when I am bending down unhooking fish or going into my tackle bag.

I use mine as the tackle and bait bag, mat and weigh sling hangs off it

I use the esp one from about 12 yrs ago, it has a wire in the top hem , so I can bend it into a shape that will fit my bucket hands in. 😄
Top mod that!

Gardner Skorpion bait pouch. Not the biggest but I like the removable lining. Has a small additional pocket for small items. Not too expensive.
I also have the bigger Drennan bait pouch but it's a stiffer construction which, as been mentioned earlier, makes it difficult to bend over to pick up landing net etc.

I use the Speedo bait caddy, it has a removable divider so you can have different baits, a hard bottom to maintain the shape, but the upper is soft so picking things is not a problem, only down side is it doesn’t have a cover.
