Good afternoon and Happy New year .
Has anyone got a picture of the internal workings please . I’ve taking them apart to clean and am now struggling to work out what goes where !

Blimey, how clean are your scales! I think mine are 40 years old ( probably older ) and survived being lost for 2 weeks on the banks of the Warwickshire Avon.

They are clean because they are unused.
These are very very rare metrics avons and are of little use to me while fishing so they are probably going to remain unused

Does the cog on the pin pull out of the red dial needle ?

The pinion gear on the back side of the dial does come off yes but I can’t remember a lot about that as I think I’ve only ever had to remove that once before.
Why does that need to come off in your case?
It’s position on that rack in relation to the tension of the springs in relation to where the needle is on the dial are all things your going to have a lot of finding again 😂
 
It was because of my incompetence Richard .
With your help I have finally got them back together . I’m not convinced they are accurate though .Probably through lack of use . Especially this season !
