AT mis-information and sarcasum

i read in keith arthurs colunm in angling times he`s made sarcastic comments about the nene barbel and there`s a photo saying " castor backwater on the river nene, its now home to some colossal barbel " while the paper carries a story about two big barbel from the nene { not from castor } on page 6. seems like the AT are feeding him duff information, castor holds only a very few barbel from 10-12lb and one 14 so they are not the big ones that are being featured lately in AT in fact they would`nt even print a photo of my 10-7 from earlier in the season.

I wouldnt worry about it then. If the fish chasers and their circus have been fed a red herring regarding Castor then so be it.

People are blogging left right and centre about Castor so its bound to attract some extra attention.
If you are worried about Castor getting cained then if I were you I wouldnt mention the place ever again, as its on here that lurkers will get their info. cough cough.

its bailiffed very heavy day and night { no night fishing allowed } ash but if people are thinking its where the big ones are then i`m happy to take their ticket money.
trouble is some will just put 2 and 2 together with both articles in the same week.
i do get the ` lurkers ` and have read some of the chat on the net so dont worry i`m amazed at the storys haha.

no point steve its done now so wont change anything.

They are always getting it wrong, they posted something a few weeks ago about one of the Dove clubs and said it was day ticket when it is in fact members and guests only.
It's just lazy journalism with no regard for the consequences to the clubs or the regulars who put the leg work in.

They get it wrong alot, one water they declared it was a day ticket, in matter of fact, it was free, the car park wasn't.

You can add to those:

- using lobworms on the Royalty; and

- Lifelands being on the Dorset Stour,

I take the AT with a pinch of salt to be honest anyone get put anything in it

I questioned the accuracy of a piece in the AT in a post once and immediately got a response from them accusing me of "slagging them". Not a good way of increasing your circulation I would say!
