It's not funny. There have been reports from reputable anglers that these fish have already entered the Wye and eye witness reports have seen them being consumed by the resident seal population at Symonds Yat.
A spokesman for the EA said they were looking into it, and there were already plans to form a steering committee with the AT to employ extra staff to do a 3 year feasibility study after which time everybody hoped the problem will have gone away
