we might see some dirty rain in the uk, i don't know if this will effect the waters, maybe not so much on rivers but stillwaters maybe.
 
Not being a vulcanologist, I've no idea if the dirty rain is likely to be acidic or alkaline. I suspect that if it's not strongly either it'll have very little effect.
 
I think the ash cloud is much higher than the level at which rain clouds form so there may be no effect at all - but then I suppose what goes up must eventually come down
