Anyone ever fished the Wye at courtfield?

Hi All, I'm over from Ireland fishing the river wye for Barbel for the first time . I'm on Courtfield beat of the Wye and Usk foundation tomorrow and friday. If anyone has any info they'd be happy to share I'd be very grateful?

Hello Fergal , there are 2 distinct sections to this fishery , the paddock which is just below the pump station , this is slower and deeper , than the wood which is shallower and faster. Both can fish ok , with the possibility of a double . At this time of year I wouldn’t be piling loads of pellets in , meat and lobworms (if allowed) may be best, if fishing pellet don’t go too big with the feeder.

Hi Fergal used to fish it quite abit. Mainly the meadow area, if you walk down the path you will see a drain cover on the path, the peg nearest it always used to be good sport casting to the far bank by the overhanging tree
