Got 3 of these look well made ,nice carbon weave, no rest curve only MINK decal above the handle, perhaps the name did not go down well with a lot of fisher folk , any info. appreciated , thanks .
You could be right , they do look well made , with no other info on them , could be made up blanks feel about 2 1/2 lb test curve , shall have to try one next week on the trent, hopefully see how they perform attached to a barbel .
Check the test curve with a set of scales (spring balance best) and a length of line through rod's line guides. Then you'll have a better idea of the rod's 'action', and of what line will 'balance' the rod best.
N.b.. I've got Harrisons and Free Spirits (Hi-s SUs) but I rate my old £50 Nash Tri-Tips 'Specialists' (circa 1999) above them all. No one, not even Nash themselves, can tell me who made the blanks ... they're 'anon'. Labels mean nowt IMO. Enjoy
Thanks for info will try this , they feel quite a through action without being to wallowy and that sort of checked weave to the carbon plus a neat chunky hookclip suggest a good quality blank , will have to road test week after next on the trent .
