Accommodation and fishing on the Trent

I've had this email from someone looking for information:

"I am interested in finding out where to stay & fish on the River Trent and wondered if you can point me in the right direction to a website(s), contacts etc.? Found your site very helpful for both of the above on the River Wye."

Newark area is a good starter, some nice small local hotels available, quick Google search will find most.

They could try for accommodation at Holmepierre point water centre....there is fishing there too. As well as day tickets fairly local such as fiskerton, I think gunthorpe do day tickets too.
