Neil many tears ago I with Mum and Dad used to holiday to Mum's parents who ran pubs in Bangor, I seemed to remember a Kings Head pub and one with the Dee adjacent that I mentioned I 'fished' , perhaps that could be the Royal Oak?
But a lovely part of the world, remember stopping off on the mountain pass en route, the falls at Betys ... and of course Snowden.
Mum was schooled in Anglesea and took the train across the straits.
Grandmother was a force to be reckoned with and ran a well behaved pub, Grandad was a big thing in the Masons, a lovely man and was an expert in playing the spoons lol.
I digress, wouldn't you rather have a splash around with a lure rod before before settling in blanking on the barbel rods ?
