A word to the wise.

I noticed someone wrote about the problems trying to contact the company behind the Adcock Stanton centrepins.

I lost a part of mine recently, and tried endlessly to contact them. My reel is 25 years old, and an old friend. In my humble opinion, the best around. But I'm really annoyed the current owners are not offering any form of after service.

All I can say is be warned, if your thinking of buying one, their still selling on the site. Myself I would not part with hard earned money, without knowing if the service is reliable.

If anyone knows different, please put me right?

Richard.

Hello Richard I've just had a reply from them about parts. Took a week but they did reply they didn't have the parts I needed (a reel that pre dates the Adcock Stanton) but they did recommend contacting Gary Mills at Mills tackle.

I'm surprised they don't , Cliff always used to keep spares and helped me out with a new nut when I dropped mine in the Trent, seems strange not to keep the older reels going by offering a spares or even a refurb package.

I was after a nut but for a Reynolds Stanton.
