Hi all,

I just thought I'd point out that I've just added the 2000th member to the BFW forum :)

I know there are Facebook sites that have lots more 'likes' than this, but all our 2000 members (bar around 100 members that were invited when we first started the new boards) have actually gone to the effort of submitting their payment details to prove they are unique, genuine users.

Thank you to all our members who have registered and who continue to enjoy the site, and huge thanks to the BFW team who continue to ensure this is a civilised forum to post on.

Here's to the next 2000....

Regards,

Andy F

Excellent news Andy, well done to you and your team for the work and commitment to the best barbel site on the net.

That's great news Andy, don't think I could possibly name all the friends I have made from this forum over the years, it is as good now as it has ever been and long may that continue.

Thanks for registering me today Andy, Have just sold all my carp gear after getting fed up with the scene, to busy and to many people interested in partying on the bank not to mention the mass marketing & gimmicks.
Looking forward to the peace and quiet on the Ouse again, been absent from the River for to long and need to take advantage of whats on my doorstep!

Look forward to reading and contributing where I can.

Best wishes to all,

James (Smithy)

Great post james and something I did a few years ago

time to take a step back from he carp scene and go back to fishing Mr C style.

well done Andy

That's great news Andy. Just like Baywatch, BFW has it's knockers but it's a fabulous forum with some genuine and incredibly helpful members. I have learnt a great deal and met some fab people. Keep it going!

Hi men ,

Nice one Andy . Been on the site for a fair while now , and although social media does come into play with Facebook , the pages on here develop in a different way . Facebook does drive me mad sometimes with updates of random people holding fish from rivers I am not interested in , and sometimes I even turn it off :D . But overall there's room for both mediums , both have strengths , and I echo Howard's post above .

Same really been posting for quite a few years I've met people who share the same angling mindset as me plus some who have shown me a whole different approach. It's changed me into a better angler plus I have made friends for life. Not many thanks places that do that now a days.
