2 rods for sale, both custom built by Mark Tunley just under a year ago at a cost of £480.
1) 12ft 1.3/4lb TC, Harrison Dark Carbon Power Specialist
2) 12ft 2.1/4lb TC, Harrison Dark Carbon Xtra Power Specialist
Both rods are constructed on a unique Harrison developed blank Mark himself worked with on in collaboration with Harrison Advanced Rods. Super fixtures and fittings as you’d expect,immaculate condition, tasteful elegant dark matt finish, used only a few times (I think literally three times) but a change in circumstances is forcing a very reluctant sale. These rods are in incredible condition and absolutely spotless, free to be inspected if you desire.
Further to this I managed to negotiate with Mark a modification for predominately centre pin use but these are equally at home with fixed spool reels. This involved shortening the cork handles and reel seats/reel stalk distance to 14 inches with a handle length of 17 inches on the 1.3/4 lb TC rod. The second rod was also modified to 16 inches reel stalk distance with a handle length of 19.5 inches (See pictures).
This allows the pins to be used with the rod moving across the front of the body without any loss of control and reaching away from your torso. I’ve found them a delight to use and as stated above a change in my circumstances is forcing a very reluctant sale.
