1.5lb TC nice through action for chubing anyone?

I’m after a nice 11 - 12ft Avon style or maybe twin top specimen rod, anyone willing to part with one? In based in WS15 but could meet up or cover postage if it helps.
It’s for roving smaller rivers so needs to be light and pretty soft, I’ve got the Torrex in 2.25 etc for more demanding Barbel / snags etc..
Many thanks..

A nice Torrix 1.25 😉

What Neil said.
For its price the 12ft All Rounder is the perfect rod for chub feeder fishing.

I did a write up on it somewhere on BFW.

I have used it on Throop, Hampshire Avon and the Severn and bite indication and playing action is Superb.

It will be suitable for all rivers.

I will look at the Korum all rounder guys, need to buy two as my lad would like to join me so a much more cost effective route incase he doesn’t take to it.. thanks for the support guys, I got away with that a lot better than I thought 😂😂

Is the 1.5lb Torrix in 12' not a better rod for chubbing? A bit more forgiving in the butt section?
The 1.25 I have is 11ft, more low down grunt than the 1.5lb according to Mark Tunley's website.
Had some lovely targeted big perch on them as well.
Admittedly I'm also coming from the small water type venues too, with regards to these 👍

Consider the Free Spirit 1.5lb River Tamer. I just bought a secondhand, but unused, one for roving. It's by no means at the top of the FS range. I also have the 1.75lb Barbel Tamer, which I like a lot (possibly because I haven't tried anything at twice the price). I would imagine the River Tamer to be a step up from a Korum, and a lot lighter, at about 175g.

Tamer is great rod for its price, I have the 2lb version and it’s great, the only thing I don’t like about this rod is it’s thin handle. I do have the more expensive s range barbel seeker, it is my favourite 11ft barbel rod, but I don’t think it is twice the price better than the tamer.

I was the same when I bought my Barbel Tamer earlier this year and I've got big hands, but I've got used to the handle now - and no longer give it a second thought. Should get my River Tamer in the post tomorrow, good to hear you speak so well about it. My first season barbel fishing, so I'm happy with these rods... for now.

Christ there’s loads of options for great specialist, Avon type rods.

some personal favorites of mine with lovely through actions that just melt over. would be:
Daiwas powermesh avon
Shimano stradic specialist
Harrison Avon 1lb 6oz
Fox duo lite 1.5lb
Harrison chimera Avon

There’s lots more but these are ones I particularly like and fit the description of through action Avon specialist rod.
