Forgive me if this topic has been raised in the past but perhaps you could settle a debate that arose the other night whilst in conversation with some angling friends.
Whilst in the pub a conversation began regarding a recent fishing trip and the phrase ' upper Severn' was used. This seemed...
Back in the 80s... Every few months in the Angling Times there would be a tackle company that would produce a similar 'tabloid paper' that would be, I'm guessing, one of the first angling mail order brochures. If I recall the company was from Leigh but for the life of me I can't recall the name...
Does anyone know of a reasonable reel service centre? In the past I've sent reels down to the tackle box in Kent but to be honest I've never had one back repaired. With the costs of postage and initial inspection of the reel running to approximately £25 before any replacement parts cost... It...
If anyone is expecting new rod holdalls or sleeves from santa in the next few weeks... Id be interested in purchasing any of the original drennan 12' super specialist sleeves.
Thanks
A question really for the the rod builders...
I was wondering if anyone out there has had the chance to look at the gizmo that fox use to secure the telescopic section on there range of 8-10' explorer rods. Is it as simple as that of old... One tube taper over another. A bush type of affair or...
I've just been on the fox website and was somewhat surprised to see that their items now have 'but it now' prices. I only had a quick brouse and selected a item to purchase and by all accounts it went into my basket then to checkout like any other online retailer. I didn't however complete a...
I have a couple of old North Western rods that I'm thinking about refurbishing.
One of the more simple of jobs I'm tackling is the removal of some of the old worn graphics.
In the past I've used white spirit and elbow grease to remove small sections of paint from quiver tips and I'm guessing...
We bait boats being a point of contention for some and banned on waters as a method of bait delivery and rig placement.
Has anyone seen any forward thinking fishery owners extending this to drones?
So... Eric's has gone the same way as fosters... Climax... And so many others.
I don't have anything against Angling Direct. Though I'm not exactly comfortable with all the independents joining these ranks.
I suppose I should be happy that the business is still going as a viable concern...
Abit random I know...but...
My 'antique' Wychwood crimp tool has finally given up the ghost and needs replacing. I already have the latest fox predator tool but that one has 'toothed' jaws.
If anyone has the korda one, if they could confirm if it has either the smooth or toothed jaws I can get...
Abit of a long shot I know...
I'm looking to replace a drennan super specialist keepnet after mine was swiped as I had it drying at the top of the bank.
I'd consider any in the range, 8' or 10' carp or micro mesh.
This rod was my fathers. He brought his after using mine around 9 months ago. Its been used twice for a total of around 6 hours so is in as new condition. Comes with original rod bands and ready rod sleeve.
