The teme seems to be doing well on the barbel front. Having done the hard yards in the off season there is an abundance barbel. I'll try and post a video my mate made.
Has anyone ever taken advantage of the byelaw for fishing eels in the closed season? I want a chance at a big river eel off the Severn. My pb is a measly 4lbs 2oz and thought I may Try for a better anguilla.

I see on the BAA website that they have a new water on the Severn. Looks very accessible with concrete platforms, there's some pools with it too.
The sad news is that they have lost walcott pool though.

Never joined this before, what are the actual benefits of this? I see you have to pay to join, then pay to fish their areas. How are the fisheries they own? Are they busy?

Having spent the last couple of seasons fishing the very lower Severn, I wondered how near the sea has anyone caught barbel and other sea going species. Personally I have had barbel and flatfish in the same sessions Ito would be interesting to hear from other areas.
