Good evening guys was after a bit of advice really. I've only caught a couple of barbel as I've not fished for them all too often and generally get distracted by chasing other species. I joined the forum to try get some tips and a better understanding of them and I've decided this coming season...
Cheers I go it seems good has old line on it and some thicker stuff almost like really thick braid the line was attached to with a water knot is this something I should replace or remove when I out my new mainline on

Sorry for the late reply haven't been able to get out fishing much but have been offered a jw young rapidex reel that is in pretty good condition just a few small chips to the paint for £50 is that a good deal or a bit pricey?
Hi guys was looking at getting a centrepin reel for my river fishing but have no idea where to start. Ideally want to spend between £40-£100 and will mainly be using it for barbel and chub any advice would be fantastic

Was planning on fishing the lower section of stanford end heard its an easier section out of the few on the farnham ticket and I have a bit of a problem with that I don't know or speak to anyone who barbel fishes so don't know of any going spots
Hi guys new to the forum been fishing about 10 years and have caught all sorts of species but have never managed to catch a barbel and I've been really drawn to the species recently would be fishing the river Loddon so was wondering if anyone could give me any advice
