Thank you mate yep think it’s between the basia and c3 tbh atm. Maybe more basia as more readily available and cheaper slightly. Going to try have a look at both.

Yeah I’ll mainly be Fiskerton and then Notts area don’t want something too stiff so can enjoy the fight etc still? Then later on if I like the 2.25 I’ll look out for a pair of 2.75 for tidal trips if they happen as never fished the tidal yet.

Thanks mate. Do you not think the 2.25 will do for the Trent then having used them both? How stiff are the 2.75? Was more looking at the 2.25 as would use for tench in the closed season too? I’ve got some armalite mk3 for smaller rivers derwent soar etc.

Thanks for reply mate. So would you have gone basia if they were in stock over the others at the time? I’ll be after barbel fishing mainly middle Trent from say Shardlow to Fiskerton etc but maybe odd trip to tidal Trent collingham etc chucking leads and feeders. I’ve got a set of 1.75 century...

Thanks for reply mate and going into them in detail. Yeah it’s odd they’ve not put them on the top rods but have others but like you say it’s not a big job to change it. What are they like compared to the 2.25 have you seen both?

What’s the pros and cans with these was thinking more the 2.25s more though?

Why would you pick the basias over the c3 mate please what’s the pros and cons between the two as I’ve been looking at these two mainly?

Yeah seeing a lot of love for the c3s deffo up there on my list and see a lot of love for the basis just the guides aren’t great on them from off the shelf.

Not ruling anything out but why them over the others please mate?
