Hi Mark I’m about 20 mins North of Peterborough. You? I’m reluctant to post but could maybe meet somewhere. The Chimera is £130, my tel 07517548454 if you want to give me call.
I’m having a bit of a thin out in order to rationalise my tackle. To that end I’m looking to move on the following should anyone be interested.
Pair of original Diawa barbel specials. 12ft 2.75. Exceptional condition. With cases.
Pair of 2023 Harrison Torrix. 12ft 2.25. Immaculate and barely...
Hi Michael, I have a chimera 3 12ft. The modern rods are 2.25. This was built by Bob the rod at fosters and I believe they were about 2lb test curve. Very progressive but will stop anything without being harsh. I bought it hoping to make up a pair but was unable,so bought a pair of the current...
The point I was making regarding the Otters is that the naturally wild animals in a much wilder river behave in a much wilder manner, eating to survive and working harder at it in order to do so. By comparison the released otters are bred, fed and achieve a larger size prior to release into in...
Slightly off topic I know but possibly of interest. We have otters on the nene and it is not uncommon to see three or four individuals throughout the course of a days fishing, they are not in the slightest bit bothered by anglers. In October my wife and I spent a week on the Wye and within 20...
New Summer 2023, used very little and apart from the plastic having been removed look like new. Harrison built, Fuji reel seat and stainless and rubber butt cap, Kigan rings. Will provide photos to genuinely interested buyers.
I am not 100 percent however both are Harrison and I can only say that the chimera 3 is an excellent floodwater rod. I personally find them incredibly versatile, they out perform my heavier stiffer Diawa in difficult conditions yet somehow manage to be light enough to be a pleasure to use even...
No worries, I too like matching rods which is why I have three Chimeras, I couldn’t find one to match this so bought a new pair. I also have a mint pair of Torrix 2.25 which I bought last summer but I’ve barely used them!!
